Sunnybrook sees mission trips as an opportunity to strengthen and encourage our partners around the world. We truly desire to use the resources and the gifts we have been given to empower indigenous churches and ministries to sustain themselves, evangelize and disciple their own nations, as well as plant other churches and send out missionaries of their own as modeled in Scripture. In addition, we have found that these experiences greatly challenge those who participate to consider deeper involvement in ministry in both the world and their own communities.

  • uganda 2018

    Uganda 2018  We are returning to Masindi, Uganda, for a medical mission trip with OneWorld Health, August 3 – 13, 2018.  We will work with Masindi Kitara Medical Center to provide care in villages throughout the region.  For more information, call or text Joe Ogle at 405.742.5022, or go to


  • Down home ranch 2018

    Join us March 16-21, 2018 as we head to Down Home Ranch. The ranch is a 410 acre working farm and ranch east of Austin, TX where 39 men and women with Downs syndrome and other disabilities live with friends who work alongside them. This is a great trip for all ages and will be during Stillwater Public Schools' Spring Break to allow families to serve together! Families will be responsible for transportation to Down Home Ranch and their meals on the road. Cost for this trip is $150 for adults and $50 for children 18 and under. The maximum cost for a family, regardless of family size, is $425! The fees for this trip cover your food while at the ranch, a t-shirt, the cost of supplies for the projects we will do while at the ranch, and our lodging. We will be housed in a bunkhouse with bunk beds. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due on January 14th to hold your family's spot for this trip.   • Mexico March 17-23

    An all church trip is planned to Piedras Negras, Mexico for spring break, March 17th-23rd of 2018. The trip will be a week long with opportunities to perform a range of service projects and spend quality time at the local children's home, Casa de Paz. Cost is $500 per person.   • Poland June 10-17, 2018

    We are developing plans for a trip to Poland June 10-17, 2018.  The trip will be a week long with opportunities to perform community service projects, work at a camp (sports, arts, language) for children from a war torn area of Ukraine, and assist at a Christian school.  For more information contact Steve Broadway

    We are tentatively planning a trip to support a missionary training conference the week of September 20-26.  It will involve providing children's programming for the missionary's kids and possibly participating directly in the training.  Contact Steve Broadway for more

  • Mission Trip Request

    Review the following expectations and information before applying to lead a mission trip:

    • Fill out & Submit “Mission Trip Request Form” (located in “Resources”below) 
    • Your request will be forwarded to the mission committee chairman and, if necessary, on to the mission committee to be reviewed for approval.
    • Once the information is received, you will be notified of the progress. If further discussion is required you will be contacted promptly. 
    • Hold one meeting (minimum) covering the following criteria in an orientation format:
    • Mission of the host organization (who you will work with)
    • Location/Demographics
    • Purpose of the short term trip
    • Fundraising
    • Packing/Identification
    • Immunizations
    • Travel details
    • Lodging/Meals
    • Money
    • Safety Issues
    • Translators
    • Schedule
    • Cultural sensitivity (i.e. social ramifications for giving things out to children/adults- ask host organization).
    • Contact Office Manager, Jill Prather, to establish communication and financial oversight of mission team members.
    • Oversee all payments of mission team members, and make sure payments are received in a timely manner and set up a payment schedule with team and Sunnybrook Office Manager.
    • Review the missions “Resources” available on the Sunnybrook website.
    • Educate and direct mission team members to the “Resources” section of the website for helpful information, such as funding requests, etc.

    Financial Assistance for Short-Term Missions Trips

    The Sunnybrook Missions Committee reviews requests for short-term mission participant support based on the following criteria:

    • The purpose of Mission Trip Financial Assistance is to help and encourage church members to participate in short-term mission trips and projects that are being sponsored by Sunnybrook. 
    • Preference for Mission Trip Financial Assistance is given to mission trips and projects that are sponsored by Sunnybrook.
    • All funding is contingent upon available funds in the Mission Committee budget for a calendar year that is designated for mission trip assistance. 
    • Mission trip participant must complete the “Financial Assistance for Short-Term Missions Trips” application.
    • After submitting the application, you will be notified by the Missions Committee within 4-6 weeks of their decision for financial assistance.
