Stillwater has a number of organizations doing excellent work to meet the needs of the local community. Our congregation engages through financial support and volunteering with these various organizations to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.

International Student Host Family
God continues to bring the nations to our front door here in Stillwater and we want to respond by faithfully reaching them with the Gospel. In light of that, we are providing practical training in how to get involved. This training is designed to equip families to confidently welcome international college students into their homes for meals, and meaningful cross-cultural engagement by understanding and appreciating cultural differences. It will be administered by Kimber Rietz and Carolyn Frost.
The class will explore topics such as cultural awareness, hospitality, food and traditions, ways to make international students feel valued and included, and how to engage in spiritual conversation.
Most importantly, families will be encouraged to approach the experience with curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to learn from one another. Anyone can do this! It just takes a willing heart and a little time. Join us for one of the trainings and invite a friend! Register on the form below:
Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 5:30-6:30 PM or Sunday, August 30, at 11:15 AM. Room 15 at Sunnybrook Christian Church.
