Churchwide Ministries

What does it take to be a maturing follower of Christ? Many things, to be sure. But we sum them up like this: a growing, learning, obedient follower of Jesus is one with a heart sensitive to what God might be trying to teach us and a willingness to respond to him in an appropriate way.

It's that simple. Recognize and Respond. Repent and Believe.

There are many ways to facilitate growth. We want to help you take that next step, so we've made available several tools, classes, and resources to help you become completely sold out followers of Jesus. If you have any questions or would like any additional information, contact Ryan Vincent at ryan@sunnybrookcc.org.

GOD'S UNCHANGING TRUTH: A Study of Selected Chapters of the Bible

    Tuesdays beginning February 2nd | 9:30 - 11:00 am | The Hub

Did you know there are 1,189 chapters in the Bible?  The longest chapter is Psalm 119, and the shortest is Psalm 117. The OT's middle chapter is Job 29, and the middle chapter of the NT is Romans 13.  The middle verse of the Bible says, "It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humanity" (Psalm 118.8).

These are interesting bits of information about God's Word.  The most amazing fact is God used about 40 authors to write the Bible, and yet the flow of His Word consistently reveals the unchanging truth about God and his story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Every page of Scripture has something to tell to us, even when it appears obscure.  We can search his Word all the days of our lives, and there will still be more treasure to mine.

Join us this semester as we study selected chapters from the Old and New Testament and learn more about our God and his relationship with us.  We will look at chapters from various books of the Bible, some familiar, some much less familiar.  This study provides an excellent opportunity to hone your Bible study skills as we dig into multiple texts and genres. As always, there will be weekly homework lessons, class discussions, and Jim's theological perspective to tie it all together.

  • Sunnybrook PReschool

Our school exists to serve children and their parents with a Christian program designed to let children experience group learning activities in a non-stressful way. We believe our three-morning-a-week schedule is age and developmentally appropriate.

    Our strengths include:

Christian environment (Bible stories, prayer, chapel, Christian teachers)

Low student:teacher ratio (average 8:1 in Preschool; 10:2 in MDO)

Emphasis on sharing, being kind, loving God

Exposure to letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through creative activities

Children leave our preschool well prepared academically and socially for Kindergarten due to our balanced program of structured activities and self-directed play. We provide a warm, nurturing environment with lots of individual attention.

Mom’s Day Out (MDO) is a great first step in helping your child learn to play with other children and be a member of a group.
